On April 27, Eugene Goland, Founder of OOBP.org, took part in the WIT offshoring conference held at the Logistics Management Institute, where Eugene Goland attended as one of a panel of project management and offshoring experts. Most participants in the conference were IT managers and executives from small and mid-size companies considering future offshoring partnerships. Issues covered included political climate, the rising popularity of offshoring, best practices for US-based business and problems that are to be expected. It was noted that most IT outsourcing practices still apply to offshoring, and that particular attention should be paid to communication.
